Teverga is part of the Las Ubiñas-La Mesa Biosphere Reserve, an area of outstanding natural, scenic and cultural value that has made sustainability a strategic pillar of tourism development under the Asturias Natural Paradise brand. The destination promotes a model based on ecotourism, responsible tourism and the enhancement of its key tourism assets: the Senda del Oso, nature, rural heritage, geotourism, hiking, cycling tourism, active tourism, landscapes and experiences linked to discovering and understanding the territory. Through its Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan, Teverga has implemented initiatives aimed at improving visitor management, conserving its resources, enhancing accessibility, diversifying the tourism offer, and fostering a more balanced, respectful and beneficial form of tourism for the local community.
