Roses has been working on sustainability for more than 20 years. Already in 2003 it approved the Local Action Plan for Sustainability of Roses. Since then, sustainability has been and continues to be the key transversal in its local policies, as evidenced by the Action Plan for sustainable energy and climate, the EMAS and ISO 14001 environmental certifications in its urban beaches and marina, the CETS of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus and very recently the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination - RTR that seeks a transformation of the tourist destination of Roses.
